About Asbestos
Asbestos has been banned by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since the 1970s. The problem is that it is still found in commercial settings nationwide and poses a health risk to workers. Asbestos is usually not an issue until disturbed during demolition and renovation. Once in the air, persons exposed to asbestos can develop several types of life-threatening conditions, including cancer.
Commercial Asbestos Abatement is a complex field with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws that must be met. The EPA and Department of Labor (DOL) require all materials suspected of containing asbestos to be “presumed asbestos containing material” unless proven otherwise by laboratory analysis.
Asbestos Removal In Commercial/Public Buildings & Schools
There are many laws that oversee how asbestos materials are to be handled in public and commercial buildings, along with schools. Improperly following these laws is dangerous and illegal. This includes property scheduled to be demolished or undergoing major renovations. The laws regarding asbestos management and removal under the EPA include:
- The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA)
- The Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA)
- The National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Asbestos (NESHAP)
- Regularly run air quality tests to ensure that there are not any persistent issues.
- All commercial properties must have a renovation/demolition survey.

Our Process Adheres to Industrial Code Rule 56 Standards
We start with an inspection and sample before starting any projects. There are over 3000 types of materials that contain asbestos & disposal must be handled properly.
Our team then obtains all required permits and notifies to the DOH and EPA. Once the paperwork is all set, the work begins by quarantining asbestos containing areas from public exposure. Once the work area is properly setup, our certified experts begin the meticulous process of removing asbestos and disposing the materials following proper procedures. This includes wetting down the asbestos, carefully removing and discarding the asbestos in double waste bags.
After the abatement is complete, cleaning begins. Our process includes a thorough cleanse of the work area along with air quality testing in accordance with the EPA standards.
Once everything checks out, we begin to dismantle the containment area.
